Eight Tracksters are headed to Burke for State Track
Congratulations to the boys and girls track teams for their stellar performances at districts on Wednesday. The boys team finished in third place, just one point behind the district runner up. The girls team finished as the Class D District Runners-up. State qualifiers are Jerica Baumert (800m run, 3200 relay), Makayla Brainard (3200 relay), Megan Dostal (3200 relay), Emily Kreikemeier (3200 relay), Katelyn Wobken, (Long Jump, 3200 relay, 100m hurdles, 300m hurdles), Kersten Peters (Discus), Amanda Schreck (Shot Put), and Bruce Schulenberg (High Jump). Zoo Trip
This year the Biology and the Animal Science classes had the chance to take a field trip down to the zoo, thanks to Ms. Andrews and Mrs. Ryun. The two classes attended the trip Wednesday the 2nd, while the students were at the zoo they had the chance to visit all of the different habitats around the world. The students also had the chance to visit new animals that were new to the zoo, for instance the baby giraffe. Freshman CPR
Again this year the freshman class gets the chance to become CPR certified during freshman P.E and Health. Mrs. Barjenbruch offers to teach the class every year as part of the curriculum and every freshman that shows up to the class will become certified with in a week. The class is working hard to get their classes done, and they are really close to having that certification in their hands. read more
