FFA Land Evaluation
Scribner-Snyder FFA members Angelica Towey, Kayden Peters, Faith Riggle, and Rachel Lodl attended area Land Evaluation contest on Tuesday, October 3rd. In total, there were 435 students that competed in the contest. Land evaluation consists of determining texture, permeability, slope, erosion and classification into land capability class. The day was a little muddy, and all of the holes were full of water; so students were provided with the information regarding the thickness of the surface soil. Overall it was a very successful day. Faith Riggle placed 24th in the competition and earned a blue ribbon! The girls learned a lot, and look forward to participating again next year.
