Summer Weights 2020
As you probably have heard, Governor Ricketts announced that, beginning June 1, schools may open weight rooms. The use of the weight room is subject to social distancing and safety guidelines. Students who wish to use the weight room must have a parent sign a form acknowledging the risks associated with the use of and entry into the weight room. The use of the weight room is subject to the Governor’s and District’s requirements. While the District endeavors to keep District property safe and clean, there is no guarantee that any surface, equipment or atmosphere is free from any germs, virus or other condition, and any person who voluntarily chooses to use the weight room does so at his or her own risk.
The weight room will open on Monday, June 1st for any Scribner-Snyder student that will be entering grades 7-12. There will be three daily sessions offered Monday-Friday, with time in between sessions to clean and disinfect. Each student and parent will need to sign and submit a waiver form before they will be allowed in the weight room. These forms will be available starting Wednesday 5/27/20 in the elementary office. Students will be asked to sign up for a session, and then will only be allowed to lift during that session for the remainder of the summer. This sign up list will also be available in the elementary office. Students will also be asked to stay and help with the cleaning and disinfecting at the end of the session.
Any questions can be directed to Anthony Ruzicka by way of a phone call or a text message, (402)-372-7070.
