SPECIAL BOARD MEETING

BOARD OF EDUCATION DISTRICT #62

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 31, 2022

6:00 P.M.

SCRIBNER – SNYDER BAND BUILDING

 

 

 

 

Open the Meeting

Call the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Scribner-Snyder President, Laura Schnoor presiding.

 

Open Meetings Act:

Notice of this meeting was properly published in a newspaper of general circulation by advance Public Notice with notice and advance agenda given to all members of the board prior to the meeting date.  The board meeting will be conducted in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.

 

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

 

Roll Call:

A call of roll showed the following members present:  Don Beck, Mike Fischer, Matt Kruse and Laura Schnoor, 2-absent (Cory Schlueter and Andrea Vacha).  Cory Schlueter arrived at 6:02 p.m.

 

Approval of the Agenda:

Fischer moved to approve the Agenda as presented.  Beck seconded and motion carried 5-yes, 1-other. 

Andrea Vacha arrived at 6:15 p.m.

 

Welcoming of Visitors:

3 visitors

 

Regular Agenda:

Budget Work Session:  Superintendent Peitzmeier presented a draft budget for 2022-2023 and took Board comments.

Planning for 2022-2023 School Year:  The Board discussed board goals and reviewed the School Board Governance Standards.

Mike Fischer left at 6:45 p.m.

 

Adjournment:

There being no further business on the agenda of this special meeting, President Laura Schnoor adjourned this meeting at 8:07 p.m.

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Education of District #62, Dodge County, will be Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at 6:30 p.m., in the Scribner–Snyder Band Room.  Agenda items are kept current in the superintendent’s office and may be inspected during regular business hours.
