SPECIAL MEETING
BOARD OF EDUCATION DISTRICT #62
MONDAY, MARCH 2, 2026 @ 6:30 P.M.
SCRIBNER – SNYDER BAND BUILDING
OPEN THE MEETING
Call the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Scribner-Snyder President, Dyann Bradbury presiding.
OPEN MEETINGS ACT
Notice of this meeting was properly published in a newspaper of general circulation by advance Public notice, with notice and an advance agenda given to all members of the board prior to the meeting date. Scribner-Snyder personnel Rex Pfeil and Sharon Meyer were in attendance.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
ROLL CALL
A call of roll showed 4 members present: Dyann Bradbury, Mike Fischer, Lisa Lawton, and Janis Baker
1-absent (Brainard)
Lawton made a motion to excuse Brainard’s absence. Baker seconded and motion carried 4-yes, 1-absent (Brainard)

ACTION ITEMS
BOARD APPOINTMENT
The board evaluated the candidates who applied to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Aaron Lange.
Bradbury moved to approve the resolution (Attachment 1) to appoint David Schnoor to the board of education to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Aaron Lange. Lawton seconded and after discussion motion carried 4-yes, 1-absent (Braindard).
OATH OF OFFICE
The Oath of Office (attachment 2) was recited by David Schnoor as he accepted their appointment as a member of the Scribner-Snyder Community Schools Board of Education.
SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH
Shari Becker, Director of the NASB Education Leadership Search Service, discussed the interim superintendent search process.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Bradbury moved to enter executive session at 6:59 pm to prevent the needless injury of an individual’s reputation and for the protection of the public interest for the purpose of reviewing interim superintendent application materials to select final candidates to invite for a formal interview. Lawton seconded and motion carried 5-yes, 1-absent (Brainard).
ACTION FROM EXECUTIVE SESSION
Baker made a motion to extend an invitation to Malia Nemecek to interview for the interim superintendent position. Schnoor seconded and motion carried 5-yes, 1-absent (Brainard)
Malia accepted the invitation and will interview on Wednesday, March 4.
INTERIM SUPERINTENDENT INTERVIEW PROCEDURES
Shari Becker discussed the process of interviewing for the interim superintendent position.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business on the agenda of this meeting, President Dyann Bradbury adjourned this meeting at 7:52 p.m.

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Education of District #62, Dodge County, will be Wednesday, March 11, 2026, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. in the Scribner-Snyder Band Room. Agenda items are kept continually current in the superintendent’s office and may be inspected during regular business hours.
