OPEN THE MEETING
Call the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Scribner-Snyder President, Dyann Bradbury presiding.
OPEN MEETINGS ACT
Notice of this meeting was properly published in a newspaper of general circulation by advance Public Notice with notice and advance agenda given to all members of the board prior to the meeting date. Scribner-Snyder personnel Rex Pfeil, Malia Nemecek and Sharon Meyer were in attendance.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

A call of roll showed all members present: Janis Baker, Jake Brainard, Dyann Bradbury, Mike Fischer and Lisa Lawton, David Schnoor

ACTION ITEMS
APPROVAL OF THE CONSENT AGENDA
Brainard moved to approve the Consent Agenda as presented. This includes the approval of the agenda, February 11, 2026 Regular Meeting Minutes, March 2, 2026 Special Meeting Minutes, March 4, 2026 Special Meeting Minutes, Treasurers Report (attachment 1), Financial Report (attachment 2), General Fund expenses (attachment 3) Special Building expenses (attachment 4) and placed them on file. Baker seconded and motion carried 6-yes.
STAFF RESIGNATION
Lawton moved to accept the resignation of Malia Nemecek, PK-12 Principal, at the conclusion of the 2025-2026 school year (attachment 5). Baker seconded and motion carried 6-yes.
INTERIM SUPERINTENDENT CONTRACT AND MEMO OF UNDERSTANDING
Fischer moved to approve the Interim Superintendent contract and Memo of Understanding for Vacation Days for Malia Nemecek as presented. Baker seconded and after discussion motion carried 6-yes.
ADJUSTING THE LAST STUDENT DAY
Baker moved to adjust the last student day of the 2025-26 school year from May 20th to May 12th, 2026 for asbestos removal and construction. Lawton seconded and after discussion motion carried 6-yes.
ESU #2 SPECIAL EDUCATION SERVICES CONTRACT FOR 2026-27
Brainard moved to approve the ESU #2 Special Education Services contract for 2026-27 as presented. Schnoor seconded and after discussion motion carried 6-yes.
K-12 SOCIAL STUDIES CURRICULUM
Brainard moved to approve the K-12 Social Studies curriculum purchase as presented. Baker seconded and after discussion motion carried 6-yes.
ADJUST DATES FOR THE APRIL AND JUNE BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETINGS
Schnoor moved to approve adjusting the meeting date for the April board meeting from April 8 to April 15, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. Brainard seconded and motion carried 6-yes.

EXECUTIVE SESSION
Schnoor moved to enter executive session at 7:50 pm for the purpose of discussing personnel when necessary to protect the public interest and to prevent the needless injury of a person’s reputation and when such person has not requested a public meeting. Baker seconded and motion carried 6-yes.
RETURN TO REGULAR SESSION
Fischer moved to resume Regular Session at 8:08 p.m. Baker seconded and motion carried 6-yes.
ACTION FROM EXECUTIVE SESSION
2026-2027 CLASSIFIED STAFF WAGES, SALARIES AND BENEFITS
Brainard moved that the classified staff receive a salary, wage and benefit package not to exceed 5% for the 2026-27 school year. Schnoor seconded and motion carried 5-yes, 1-abstain (Baker)
SPED COORDINATOR CONTRACT RENEWAL
Baker moved to approve the contract and compensation for the SPED Coordinator for the 2026-27 school year. Lawton seconded and motion carried 6-yes.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business on the agenda of this meeting, President Dyann Bradbury adjourned this meeting at 8:10 p.m.

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Education of District #62, Dodge County, will be Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. in the Scribner-Snyder Band Room. Agenda items are kept continually current in the superintendent’s office and may be inspected during regular business hours.
